On Friday, October 24, we are honored to welcome a guest from Hungary, Dr. Péter Szilágyi, Deputy Secretary of State for National Policy for our commemoration of the 1956 Revolution.

We will be joining with the Hungarian Cultural Society of Southern Alberta for a short programme, beginning at the Turul Madár monument by City Hall at 6:00 pm, followed by a presentation at the Old Timers' hall at 6:30 pm by Grace Huszar, President of the Old Timers, as well as personal stories from individuals who remember this important time in Canadian, Hungarian, and world history. 

 

 Coffee, tea, and desert will be served.
